Jay is a softhearted young man who is often taken advantage of by women who only want his money. One night, he saves a young girl named Yin Ying who helps him avoid these women, and soon Jay realises that she is a gambling genius – not only in mahjong but for football and horse betting, too. Only problem is she appears to be suffering from amnesia, but that does not stop them from falling in love. However, Yin Ying disappears the night before their wedding, A distraught Jay searches high and low, only to find her contending in the Asian God of Gamblers’ Competition, accompanied by her fiance, Henry.


A martial arts expert – able to maim people with cards or sever a man’s finger with two of her own – and gambling maestro, the lively Lung Ying Ying is known in the gambling world as the Gorgeous Goddess of Gamblers. In contrast, Jay Chou (Nick Cheung) ­– the mild-mannered man she meets after losing her memory – having been left in debt by his gambler mother, tries to steer clear of any gambling activities. Hence it takes him some time to discover the true identity of the woman he initially mistook for a dolphin when he spied her lying on Shek O’s main beach.
